Armed men tells 2 Balilihan barangay chiefs junk Guv, Mayor Pureza, Cong. Edgar, Trisha in polls

Armed men visited and told the barangay chiefs of Tagustusan and Sto. Niño to campaign against the election of Gov. Arthur Yap, Cong. Edgar Chatto, Balilihan mayor Pureza Veloso-Chatto and daughter Atty. Trisha Chatto who is running for Balilihan vice mayor. The governor and the Chattos are stalwarts of Pundok Padayon Bol-anon.

This was the revelation of Atty. Trisha Chatto in a post on May 4, 2022.

Atty. Chatto said the armed men aired their threats and told the village chiefs to allegedly campaign for the election of mayoralty candidate and current Vice Mayor Adonis Roy Olalo and gubernatorial bet and 2nd district Cong. Aris Aumentado, instead. The armed men said those who refuses to comply with their demand will be taken down.

Art Yap, Cong. Chatto, Mayor Pureza ug Trisha. Pabotaran hinuon si Olalo ug Aumentado. Ang dili musunod, patumbahon,”Atty. Trisha said in her post.

However, there are rumors surfacing that it was the Pundok Padayon Bol-anon which was behind the threats of armed men in an effort to discredit the opposition, Atty. Trisha mentioned in her post.

“Unya karon gibali ang storya nga tinuyuan kuno sa atong pundok aron mamaot ang ilang grupo,” the young lawyer said.

She said that Padayon Bol-anon is not desparate unlike other parties.

Unya kami pa hinuon ang pagawson nga desperado?” the lady lawyer mentioned in the post.

She then chided the oppisition for turning the tables at Padayon Bol-anon.

“Ayaw mo pamahid sa inyong binuhatan. Dili na kinaiya sa Balilinhon,” Atty. Trisha posted on Facebook.

Karon pa hinuon?” she explained.

She characterized that the threats are an affront to freedom.

She then urged the people of Balilihan to resist the schemes of nefarious characters.
