Nagpasidaan ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa mga kandidato nga ang pagbayad og permit to campaign ug permit to win fees sa Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) ug mga kaalyadong organisasyon niini, mga election offense ug mahimong hinungdan alang sa diskwalipikasyon.
Kahinumdoman nga gi-aprubahan sa Commission en banc ang rekomendasyon sa Law Department isip tubag sa sulat sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) nga magpagawas ug resolusyon sa mga posibleng silot sa mga kandidato nga ni-uyon nga magbayad sa maong mga bayronon, base na usab sa bag-o lang nga pagpulong nga gipangunahan sa kanhi acting chairperson nga si Socorro Inting.
“The concern on payment of candidates of a Permit to Campaign and Permit to Win fees to the CPP-NPA-NDF and its allied organizations are already covered by existing laws/resolutions of the Commission,” matud pa sa en banc.
Ang pagbayad sa maong mga bayronon paglapas sa Seksyon 261 sa Omnibus Election Code sa pagpalit ug pagbaligya og boto; ug mga pagpanghulga, pagpanghadlok, terorismo, paggamit og malimbongon nga mga kagamitan o uban pang paagi sa pagpamugos, nga mahimong pasakaan og kaso sa Comelec ug uban pang mga prosecuting arms sa gobyerno.
Paglapas usab kini sa Republic Acts No. 10168 (The Terrorism Financing Prevention and Suppression Act of 2012) ug 11479 (Anti-Terrorism Act).
Samtang gipaseguro sa Comelec sa Education and Information Department ug sa Task Force Kontra Bigay ang halapad nga pagpakatap og impormasyon aron malikayan ang padayon nga extortion activities o mga kalihokan sa pagpangilkil sa umaabot nga piniliay.
“Further, in order to prevent rampant extortion activities in connection with the May 9, 2022 national elections, it is respectfully recommended to direct the Education and Information Department and the Task Force Kontra Bigay to ensure the widest dissemination of this information,” dugang pa sa Comelec.
