Governor-elect Erico Aristotle Aumentado was proclaimed as the incoming governor of Bohol following his victory on May 9, 2022 elections.
The governor-elect was proclaimed by the Provincial Board of Canvassers headed by Commission on Elections (Comelec) provincial election supervisor Eddie Aba, on May 10, 2022.
Also, proclaimed was vice governor-elect Dionisio Victor Balite.
As this developed, Aumentado is forming a transition team to be headed by the chief legal counsel of Abante Bohol who is lawyer Handel Lagunay.
Aumentado told reporters that an audit on the expenditures of the outgoing administration is in the offing.
The governor-elect is putting special focus on big ticket items purchased by the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) which are allegedly “overpriced”.
“Ato kining ipangaudit, ilabi na mga properties sa province nga nagkantidad ug dinagko nga anaa sa PRIMER, ato ng susihon ug asa na karon kay usa na kabutang nga questionable ug unsay purpose nga gepalit. So kinahanglanon na accounted ang tanan niini,” he said.
