3 Tagbilaran villages get new leaders

Around 3 villages in Tagbilaran are set to get new punong barangays after the erstwhile leaders have won in the elections as city councilors.

The punong barangay of San Isidro, Fausto Budlong, Nick Besas of Cogon and Ody Glovasa of Poblacion 3 all won during Monday’s elections as city councilors under the banner of Team Asenso Pa More.

The standard bearers of Team Asenso Pa More, Jane Yap and Adam Jala were

elected as new city mayor and city vice mayor, respectively.

Fausto is set to be replaced by Joseph Sagaral.

Moreover, Geneson Balbin will replace Besas and Felixberto Remolador is the new punong barangay of Poblacion 3 following the departure of Glovasa to sit in the city council.

Almost all bets from Team Asenso Pa More won in the elections.

Only, Dampas barangay captain Edgar Bombat failed to win in the polls, based on the data of the Commission on Elections.

The lone winning bet who is not a member of Asenso Pa More is incumbent councilor Jonas Cacho.

Cacho is now on his 3rd and final term as councilor of Tagbilaran City.

The top vote getter among the city council candidates who ran during Monday’s polls is Melvin “Atoy” Torralba, the son of former Tagbilaran City mayor Jose Torralba.
