About 2 motorists fell off a bridge and lost their lives on May 13, 2022, police say as released on May 16, 2022.

The incident happened at Moalong bridge in barangay Canghandon Occidental, Loon, the same reports say.

According to Master Sergeant Jason Amonsot of the Loon police station the 2 victims are Archer Diaz, 45, the motorcycle driver from barangay Katipunan, Sagbayan and Joel Almadores, 23, of barangay Rizal, Manila. They were temporarily living at Cortes town.

The two victims were workers at the Cortes campus of the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital, the police officer adds.

Initial investigations revealed that the victims were travelling from barangay Pundol, Loon and were heading home to Cortes.

Allegedly, the driver of the motorcycle was under the influence of alcohol. The probe bares that the driver engaged in a race with another motorcycle driver.

Moreover, Amonsot said the police found the remains of Diaz around 5 in the morning of May 14, 2022 while Almadores’ body was discovered around 9:30 am on the same day.
