First district barangay officials gathered at the Bohol Tropics for the 3-day Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) provincial congress that started on May 23, 2022 and ends on May 25, 2022.
This was revealed by outgoing San Isidro, Tagbilaran barangay captain Fausto Budlong in a telephone interview on May 24, 2022.
He said that each barangay is represented by the Punong Barangay, the barangay treasurer and the barangay kagawad who is the chairman of the committee on ways and means.
The congress is focusing on discussion regarding revenue generation in the barangays, Budlong said.
The barangay officials from other congressional districts of Bohol will also have their congress, he added.
Meanwhile, re-elected first district Rep. Edgar Chatto spoke in the LnB provincial congress as he highlighted the role of barangay officials as foundation of governance in the important task of uniting Boholanos towards greater task of growth and development.
The Provincial Government led by Gov. Arthur Yap and Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos also turned over aid to barangays on the first day, according to reports.
