Gov. Arthur Yap and Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos led the turnover rites for the step down hospital also known as a temporary treatment and monitoring facility (TTMF) built by the national government.

The said step down hospital was turned over to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH), which is a Department of Health (DOH)-run hospital on June 6, 2022.

The TTMF is located inside the old Tagbilaran airport, according to reports.

The reports add that Yap said he is glad to finally turnover the said facility which would help in the health care needs of Boholanos.

The TTMF is the product of the efforts of Yap in convincing the national government, through the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), to build the said facility for Bohol.

As this developed, Yap thanked the Boholanos for their cooperation as the province managed to overcome the challenges of the pandemic.

For her part, GCGMH medical center chief Dr. Mutya Kismet Macuno said the TTMF will be used by patients who are about to be discharged in order to decongest the regional hospital in Bohol.
