Murder suspect faces raps

A murder suspect is now facing charges after he allegedly killed his brother-in-law, who is an employee of the Land Transportation Office (LTO), on June 4, 2022.

The incident happened in Valencia town, the reports add.

According to Pat. Jegzyfeld Talara of Valencia police station, the suspect, identified as

Efren Cagadas, 42, of brgy. La Victoria, Valencia, is already in police custody.

The suspect allegedly stabbed the victim Jener Salbo, 25, of La Victoria, Valencia, a worker at the LTO in Garcia Hernandez, reports bare.

It was reported that the victim was stabbed by the suspect while the former was carrying his 10-month-old baby.

Reports add that allegedly the suspect stabbed the victim twice in the back using a bolo.

The victim was able to ensure that the baby was unhurt as he fell slowly, despite getting stabbed by the suspect, the reports reveal.

The police are looking at several motives behind the killing including jealousy.

Police said the suspect voluntarily surrendered to authorities as the investigation on this incident continues. (Joshua Fullido)
