The Panglao police started their investigation regarding the incident where a motorist was shot dead on June 13, 2022, according to reports released on June 14, 2022.
The police have yet to identify a suspect behind the killing of John Harvey Logroño, 24, of Danao town.
The killing incident happened at barangay Danao, Panglao past midnight of June 13, 2022.
According to Staff Sgt. Salvador Geloca of Panglao police, the victim was riding a motorcycle with his girlfriend when all of a sudden another motorcycle suddenly appeared.
Apparently a person riding in another motorcycle opened fire at the couple.
The victim got hit by the gunshot and luckily the victim’s girlfriend was not seriously injured.
The gunshot victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
