Chatto lauds Smart for new cell tower at Hanopol Este

Cong. Edgar Chatto lauded Smart Communications for a new cellular tower located at barangay Hanopol Este, Balilihan town.
The solon attended the inauguration of the said tower on June 13, 2022, according to reports.
He expressed his thanks to Smart Communications for erecting the tower which 

improves the telecommunications connectivity of people residing in the said area.
During his term as governor of Bohol, Chatto was in the forefront of improving the information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure here.
Back then, he lobbied for the inclusion of the province in the communications superhighway which resulted in the installation of a fiber optics network in Bohol by Smart Communications and sister company, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT).
Moreover, Chatto also worked with the Bohol ICT Council to work towards the opening of the Information Technology-Business Process Outsourcing (IT-BPO) 

industry in the province.
Today, there is a handful of IT -BPO companies already operating in the province, reports add.
For her part, Balilihan mayor Pureza Veloso-Chatto said the availability of cellular phone signal in the Hanopol area will support peace and security, economy, tourism, agriculture, and education sectors.
Smart Communications Assistant Vice President Alexis Winters, Smart Customer Development Manager Maryknoll Romerde and distributor PD Fortune’s Richard Lim were present during the inauguration, reports bare.
The Provincial Government led by Gov. Art Yap and Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos strongly supported the initiative  to entice companies like Smart to invest in Bohol and improve connectivity.
Meanwhile, Smart is set to open more cell sites across the province, reports mention.
