Outgoing Dauis mayor Marietta Sumaylo took her oath of office as the new vice mayor of the said town on June 20, 2022 at the new Legislative Building of Dauis.

She took her oath in front of Judge Raul Barbarona, reports say.

Incoming governor Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado was also in attendance and delivered a speech, prior to Sumaylo’s oath taking.

After Sumaylo took her oath, she gave a short speech where she also paid tribute to the head of each office of the local government unit of Dauis for their help during her 9-year term as municipal mayor.

First District Cong. Edgar Chatto also delivered his address, following Sumaylo’s address.

Furthermore, the incoming vice mayor said that all town government employees shall get a sack of rice each. (Joshua Fullido)
