Chatto sees House in good hands with Romualdez

First district Cong. Edgar Chatto sees the House of Representatives to be in good hands under the leadership of incoming Speaker Martin Romualdez.

This was the statement of the solon to reporters at the sidelines of the inauguration of the new vice mayor of Dauis Marietta Sumaylo on June 20, 2022.

Romualdez is the congressman representing the 1st District of Leyte.

Chatto said that it is sure that Romualdez will be chosen as the next Speaker of the House of Representatives when the next Congress convenes in the later part of July 2022.

He added that Romualdez has shown excellent leadership skills as the House’s Majority Leader.

Moreover, Chatto said that Romualdez was among the solons given an opportunity to become Speaker.

Chatto added that Romualdez opted to become the Majority Leader and let Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano and Rep. Lord Allan Velasco share the Speakership term of 3 years.
