Lawyer Handel Lagunay assumes the role of Provincial Legal Officer (PLO) following the turnover rites that took place at the Capitol on June 23, 2022, according to reports.
Outgoing PLO Julius Delgado turned over the reins of the said office to Lagunay and his team.
Delgado said June 24, 2022 is his last day in office as he had to resign earlier considering his next employer doesn’t want him to report in July.
He did not mention the name of his next employer in the short farewell speech.
Delgado thanked the staff and his colleagues at the PLO for their service.
For his part, Lagunay who also held the post of PLO during the term of former Gov. Erico Boyles Aumentado, expects the staff of the PLO will protect the rights and interests of the provincial government and the people of Bohol.
“I am happy na mabalik dire with the old staff nga pagbiya nako 12 years ago nia gihapon karon,” Lagunay said in his acceptance speech.
