Aris’ camp bares plan for inauguration rites

An official of Governor-elect Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado’s Inauguration Committee revealed preparations for the activities of the upcoming Inauguration Day on June 30, 2022.

Metodio “John” Maraguinot Jr., chairman of the said committee, said that the swearing in  of Aumentado and other elected provincial officials will be held at the Bohol Cultural Center.

The theme for this year’s inaugural will be “Abante Bohol: Limpyong Panggobyerno, Kalamboan sa Tanang Bol-anon” (Forward Bohol: Clean Government, Development for All Boholanos).

He also spoke about the different events that will be conducted on the said date.

First on the list is the Inaugural Mass at 7:15 in the morning at the St. Joseph the Worker Cathedral-Parish.

Bishop Alberto Uy will be the main celebrant, with Fr. Efren Bongay and Fr. Adonis Hubac as concelebrants.

The Swearing-in Ceremony will then be held after the mass, to be followed by an Inaugural luncheon. The event will be by invitation only due to limited space and the restriction under the Coronavirus disease (Covid) health protocol.

Organizers said that the event will be live streamed on Facebook as guests can also watch the proceedings on a LED wall at the first and fourth floor of the New Capitol Building.

After lunch, Aumentado, together with Vice Governor-elect Dionisio Victor Balite, and Provincial Administrator-designate Asteria Caberte, will lead the Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the CPG Monument in front of the New Capitol Building.

The signing of executive issuance will then follow qt the Governor’s Office, where a media briefing is also scheduled to take place.

Aumentado and Balite will then host the Abante Bohol Business Dialogue at the Modala Beach Resort in Panglao, where business personalities from Bohol and across the country are scheduled to attend, in the evening.

Advisories regarding the inauguration will be issued on a regular basis leading up to June 30, 2022, according to Maraguinot.
