The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Cebu City visited Tagbilaran for a benchmarking activity here, according to reports.
Jessica Resch from the SK Federation of Cebu led the 50-member delegation, the report indicates.
City Administrator Cathelyn Torremocha welcomed the delegates, while City Youth Development Officer Marbert Remolador and Tagbilaran SK Federated President Jose Floro Ringca presented its projects and programs.
The SK Federation of Tagbilaran City which was then led by Raul II Aparicio transformed the organization into a whole new level.
More than 100 youths were trained in Social Media Literacy, Basic Life Support, Mental Health Awareness, Love and Courtship, Climate Change, and Effective Journalism.
About 600 Out-of-school Youths (OSY) in Tagbilaran City received technical trainings and aid from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Opportunity 2.0 Project.
Around 150 elected youth leaders and volunteers in Tagbilaran City were trained in Leadership, Local Budgeting, Planning, and Youth Governance.
Elected SK officials and representatives from youth-based organizations actively participated in the formulation of the 3-Year City Youth Development Plan.
Moreover, the SK Federation is also instrumental in the institutionalization of the City Youth Development Office (CYDO).
Aparicio chaired the Committee Youth and Sports Development in the 14th Sangguniang Panlungsod. He is the only SK chairman in the entire province of Bohol to sponsor the ordinance entitled the Comprehensive Youth Development Code which institutionalized the establishment of the City Youth Development Office (CYDO) and the City Youth Development Council in the City of Tagbilaran.

Barangay San Isidro now has 3 multi-purpose covered courts.
This comes as City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II led the ceremonial turnover of the Special Education Funded (SEF) project, which is the San Isidro Elementary School covered court on June 14, 2022.
To date, two SEF funded projects are already completed, and they are the perimeter fence in Manga Elementary School and the repair of the Dr. Cecilio Putong National High School (DCPNHS) Gymnasium.
Just recently, Mayor Yap also turned over the completed flooring in the gymnasium of Tagbilaran City Science High School.
The SEF under the term of Mayor Yap increased exponentially, from Php25 million in 2013 to Php78 million in 2020.
The prompt payment of taxes by the Tagbilaranons made this initiative possible. Tagbilaran City’s Special Education Fund has been exponentially increasing since 2013 resulting to improved services in education.
