Jane Yap takes oath as Tagb’s first lady, youngest mayor

Mayor Jane Yap took her oath of office on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 as Tagbilaran’s first lady mayor as she is also touted as the youngest chief executive ever elected in the lone city in Bohol.

Jane Yap, 32, succeeds her husband John Geesnell Yap II as mayor of Tagbilaran City.

Jane Yap took her oath of office in front of Supreme Court Associate Justice Henri Jean Paul Inting at the City Hall.

She is expected to continue her husband’s programs and projects which earned high satisfaction rating among the city’s residents.

Jane Yap is a former national president of the Sangguniang Kabataan during the tenure of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

In an interview with the media, Jane Yap said she will be having a consultative and participative style of government just like the administration of her husband.
