City Social Welfare and Development Office honors retirees

Mayor Jane Yap and former City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II graced the retirement day celebration of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) on June 27, 2022.

The retirees were Gilda Omictin, Administrative Aide; Teofila M. Mesiona, Day Care Worker I; Gilda Omictin, Administrative Aide, and Esperanza Lopena, Day Care Worker I.

The CSWDO also gave small tokens of appreciation to the dedicated retirees.

Mayor Jane Yap and former Mayor Baba Yap acknowledged the untiring devotion of the senior CSWDO personnel.

The local officials recognized their work performance and their significant contribution to the CSWDO, their dedication and commitment to government service will serve as an inspiration to others as well.

Pilipinas Shell Foundation launches program to promote young artists

Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc. (PSFI) invites all young artists in Tagbilaran City to help raise awareness on the harmful effects of pollution by creating a meaningful masterpiece using only trash or waste found at coastal lines. 

PSFI, in partnership with the City Government of Tagbilaran says that the competition is inviting all environmental conservationists to join.

Guidelines of the competition include the following: the competition is open to all 16 to 22 year old Tagbilaran residents; sculpture must be at least 80% made from actual trash or wastes found along coastal areas; output dimensions are- height 18’’ (46cm), base 10’’ (26cm); preparation of 1-2 paragraph explanation of the sculpture, including its title; submission of entries is until July 1, 2022, 3:00PM at Tagbilaran City Hall;  entries will be shortlisted and will move forward to the finals; all the finalists will be posted online on July 3, 2022;  artwork exhibit and judging will take place on July 5, 2022, and the announcement of winners will take place on July 6, 2022 during PSFI’s 40th Anniversary Community Celebration at the Tagbilaran City Hall Atrium.
