Rep. Edgar Chatto wishes that the conflct between his former Provincial Administrator Alfonso “Ae” Damalerio II and Capitol ally and businessman Willy Ramasola be resolved peacefully.
This was the solon’s reaction to the issue during a radio interview over Newsmakers ug Uban Pa on July 5, 2022 hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Dave Albarado.
Damalerio served as Chatto’s provincial administrator from 2010 to 2019 or during the latter’s incumbency as governor of Bohol.
Chatto said that based on the posts, Damalerio felt that the tirades made by Ramasola against him are no longer political but already personal.
“I would hope nga magkaistorya ra na sila [Damalerio] ni Willy. I would hope nga dili mo resulta into kanang something nga dili kaayo maayo as far as the public is concerned,” the solon said during the interview.
Chatto said that he knows Damalerio to be a peace-loving person but the former provincial administrator stands his ground on certain matters or issues.
Moreover, Chatto said that it would be best if Damalerio and Ramasola would settle their differences peacefully as they used to be classmates.
The issue stems from the challenge aired through Facebook by Damalerio to Ramasola for a fistfight or a boxing match .
Based on the post, Damalerio said he was offended by the tirades made by Ramasola. The former thinks the posts of the latter against him are already personal and no longer political in nature.
Damalerio reverted to private life in 2019 after serving as Chatto’s provincial administrator but went back briefly to public service as the ground commander of the Provincial Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), the precursor of the Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (BIATF).
