PMSC, BLC bag Gawad Tugas award

The Philippine Mining Service Corporation (PMSC) and the Bohol Limestone Corp. (BLC) bagged the Gawad Tugas award as the Best Performing Partner in the Clean Air category, according to reports.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-7) conducted its 7th Awarding Ceremony for the Gawad Tugas Award and the PMSC and BLC are among the winners.

The award aims to recognize the efforts of both public and private organizations who have played an integral contribution towards effective environmental management and protection.

Distinguished organizations have received the award in different categories for going beyond compliance and for their continual exemplary performance in environmental development and preservation, reports add.

According to reports, the award was received by the Deputy Mine Environmental Protection and Enhancement Officer (MEPEO) Avilio Pahang together with Hazel Labonita, pollution control officer of the organization.

PMSC-Bohol Plant is headed by Resident Manager-Engr. Paul Espina.

According to the company, receiving the award is a great opportunity to extend the commendations to the top management, including Masayuki Kobayashi (president); Kazuya Tsuchike, (Vice President for Operations); Naofumi Nakagawa (Vice President & Treasurer);  Naoki Fukuhara and Susumu Utada (technical advisors).

Meanwhile, the same award given to the BLC was received by the ever-dynamic President & Resident Manager of the said organization, Engr. Winston Eduard Bolo, with Donna Kaith Lopena, (MEPEO) and Gleena Alaan, pollution control officer.

This award would not have been made possible and attainable without the energies of the people who have been part in making a place not just work-friendly but also liveable.

The management and staff of PMSC- BOHOL PLANT and BLC would like to extend their deepest gratitude towards DENR-7 in recognizing and appreciating the efforts of every individual behind the success in promoting sustainable environment not just for the people working in the organization but also for the future generation.
