COMING SOON

“The Black Phone” at Screenville Cinemas

A terrifying suspense-thriller about an abducted teenager who uses a mysterious telephone to communicate with the previous victims of his captor, “The Black Phone” will premiere on Wednesday, July 20, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

In 1978, a serial child kidnapper and killer, nicknamed “The Grabber” (Ethan Hawke–“Reality Bites”), prowls the streets of a Denver suburb, snatching young boys in broad daylight never to be seen again. A shy but clever 13-year-old boy who gets bullied and harassed at school, Finney (Mason James), is seized by the sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use.

When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.

Four-time Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke stars in the most terrifying role of his career and introducing Mason Thames in his first ever film role.

“THE BLACK PHONE” will premiere on Wednesday, July 20, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
