July 23, 2022 marks the 118th Foundation Day of the Municipality of Mabini! With the theme: “Mabini @ 118: Overcoming Challenges. Building Resilience towards. Progress”, it is aimed to encompass the thrusts of the municipality in its direction moving forward. Leading the celebration is an all-female tandem of newly elected mayor, Hon. Ongie Bernales-Lim Grace and Hon. Myra Fostanes-Colis as the vice mayor, a first in the history of the town’s existence. Mayor Bernales-Lim stresses the importance of showcasing the innate riches that the Municipality can be proud of. “This is just the beginning of the progress that the people of Mabini have been dreaming of. I know we have enormous potential to grow; may it be in economics, tourism, agriculture, culture and arts, and the like”, Mayor Bernales-Lim said. The foundation day celebration kicks off with the Birthday Cash Gift for Senior Citizens Payout. Bloodletting activity and free HIV testingwill be on the 20th of July through the Rural Health Unit of Mabini, followed by the different sporting extravaganza like the volleyball, tennis, basketball, and even the exciting Motocross. With the aim to promote culture and arts, we are also hosting the Mabini Got Talent Season 2, The Search for “The
Voice of Mabini Hymn” whose winner will officially sing the Mabini Hymn. There will also be a Holy Mass, Parade, Wreath Laying and the Foundation Day program that boasts the presence of our top provincial officials, and with Former DTI Asec. Asteria C. Caberte as the Guest Speaker. Vice-mayor Myra Fostanes-Colis, on her part, has assured of the full support of the Sangguninang Bayan of Mabini through crafting of
relevant laws and ordinances for the betterment of the Municipality. “I have always been a believer that the progress of the municipality emanates from the oneness of minds and hearts of its leaders. We assure all Mabinians that its direction going forward. The celebration caps with the Zumba, Centerstage Band. Live Concert and Disco. The Municipality of Mabini will celebrate its town anniversary on July 23, 2022 with the Theme: “Mabini 118th: Overcoming Challenges, Building Resilience towards Progress”. This theme encompasses the thrusts of the municipality in July 21, 2022 – One-Day Volleyball Tournament, Friendly Basketball Games (BCL vs LGU) July 23, 2022 – Mass, Parade, Wreath Laying, Program Proper, Zumba, Search for The Voice of Mabini Hymn, Live Band and Disco. Mabinians believe that together they can make Mabini more prominent and great in terms of real and meaningful progress.
