Officials break ground for new Talibon road

A new diversion road leading to the seaport in Talibon town is set to be constructed, as officials from both national and local government levels held a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday afternoon, July 15, 2022, at the said town, reports say.

The said project is intended to decongest the Poblacion area of Talibon by providing another way of accessing the port area and other public facilities such as the Talibon Public Market.

The project is funded under the Convergence and Special Support Program – Sustainable Infrastructure Projects Alleviating Gaps (SIPAG), and is estimated to cost around P100 million, which is sourced from the General Appropriations Act 2022 (GAA 2022). For her message, Mayor Janette A. Garcia of Talibon expressed her appreciation for the project and assured everyone of her continued support for projects that will benefit the residents of the said town
