The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB)-7 is set to distribute solid waste management (SWM) equipment to 26 towns in Bohol, according to reports, released on July 21, 2022.

The reports add that the said pieces of equipment will help the local government units (LGU) in managing their respective waste well.

Furthermore, the EMB will continue to educate the public as well to manage the solid waste starting from their own homes, the report bares.

The cost of equipment to be turned over to various Bohol LGUs is P26 million, according to the EMB-7.

Moreover, Maribel Munsayac, EMB Regional Director, said the pieces of equipment will help LGUs to implement Republic Act 9003.

Aside from Bohol, LGUs in Cebu province, Negros Oriental and Siquijor are also going to receive similar pieces of equipment from the EMB.
