Mayor Jane Yap gets elected as LCP’s Region 7 rep

Tagbilaran City mayor Jane Yap

Tagbilaran City mayor Jane Yap Has just been elected as the regional representative for Region 7 of the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) following elections in Quezon City on July 21, 2022, according to reports.

Mayor Yap confirmed the reports  to The Bohol Tribune in a text message.

Former mayor John Geesnell Yap II used to be the representative for Central Visayas of LCP.

Moreover, Cebu City mayor Michael Rama was elected as the president of LCP.

As there is only one city in Bohol, the province has a single representative to the LCP and that is the mayor of Tagbilaran City.

The LCP was created in 1988 in accordance with Republic Act (RA) 7160, the ‘Local Government Code,’ to help ventilate and solidify the issues affecting city government administrations.
