Sevilla VM gets elected as VMLP-Bohol president

Sevilla town vice mayor Richard Bucag got elected as the president of the Vice Mayors League of the Philippines (VMLP) Bohol chapter in elections held at the Bohol Tropics on July 27, 2022, according to reports.

Bucag replaces former Tagbilaran City vice mayor Jose Antonio Veloso as the latter chose to run as city mayor in the last elections and lost to now Tagbilaran City mayor Jane Yap.

Moreover, elected as executive vice president was Helen Alaba of Loboc.

Furthermore, the district vice presidents are Marietta Sumaylo of Dauis (1st District), Faustino Bulaga of San Miguel (2nd District), and Regina Salazar of Lila (3rd District).

The VMLP is the group of vice mayors of all local government units in the province, which includes the vice mayors coming from the 47 towns and Tagbilaran City, reports reveal.

In a post, Bucag thanked the provincial governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado, Vice Gov. Dionisio Victor Balite, Reps. Maria Vanessa Aumentado and Kristine Alexie Tutor, for their support.

The VMLP Bohol chapter election was graced by VMLP National Executive Director Cris Abcede, former VMLP National President Joy Mejia of Magsaysay, Davao, VMLP Vice President for Finance Eduard Dela Cruz of Malabon City, former VMLP Regional President Allen Piezas and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Provincial Director Jerome Gonzales, reports mention.
