PDRRMO, 17 Bohol LGUs bag Gawad Kalasag

Another feather in the cap is grabbed by Bohol’s Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) after it won the Gawad Kalasag Award during rites held at Bai Hotel in Mandaue City on July 29, 2022.

Likewise, 17 local government units (LGU) including the City of Tagbilaran, received the Gawad Kalasag from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD-7).

The event was also the culminating program of the National Disaster Resilience Month.

Dr. Anthony Damalerio received the award from Office of Civil Defense (OCD) 7 regional director Marlou Salazar, according to reports. The PDRRMO was awarded with the Plaque of Recognition in adhering to the standards under the law and other policies of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. The PDRRMO is rated fully compliant at Regional Level for Gawad Kalasag seal for its support of various disaster risk reduction and management programs of the Regional DRRM Council, OCD-7 and the Department of National Defense, Damalerio said in a post on Facebook.

He added that several LGUs in Bohol also received the Gawad Kalasag for their support to the various DRRM initiatives of the national government especially of the National DRRM Council.

The Bohol LGUs which also bagged the Gawad Kalasag are Dauis, Alicia, Clarin, Loon, Albur, Calape, Sikatuna, Trinidad, Danao, Carman, Candijay, Inabanga, Anda and Tagbilaran City.
