VM Sumaylo denies allegations that she received bribe from private investor

Dauis vice mayor Marietta “Miriam” Sumaylo denied allegations that she received bribe from a private investor involved in water supply distribution.

The vice mayor made the denial in a radio interview on Aug. 11, 2022 aired over Newsmakers Ug Uban Pa hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Dave Albarado.

The vice mayor said that there are rumors circulating and saying that the second highest official in Dauis town is receiving bribe or a “percentage” from Richli Corporation.

Earlier, the vice mayor went to Facebook to deny the allegations.

“Adunay nagreport nato karon buntaga nga si Miriam Sumaylo kuno nagdawat og porsento sa Richli Waters Corp.?” the vice mayor said in her Facebook post.

“Bisan usa ka centavo way gidawat si Miriam Sumaylo sa Richli. Kita andam mohatag og premyo

P200,000 .00 sa tawo na mobarog sa korte musulti kinsa ang naghimo sa maong storia. chat lang or text,” she added.

In the interview, Sumaylo said she already went to the National Bureau of Investigation to find out the people behind  the spreading of false information against her.
