The local government unit (LGU) of Balilihan is crafting a zoning ordinance in order to categorize land use within the said town.
According to Mayor Pureza Veloso-Chatto, the zoning ordinance will identify the areas suitable for certain activities including the identification of areas designated as residential and commercial.
“Atong ipahiluna ang pag gamit sa yuta sulod sa atong lungsod. Ihan-ay ang lugar nga pwedeng residential, commercial, institutional, agricultural, ug uban pa,” the mayor said in a post.
She added: “Ato kining gibuhat aron hapsay ug han-ay ang atong lungsod ug aron dunay giya ang pagpangtukod ug mga infrastructures ug facilities and /or amenities.”
The mayor quipped that it is prudent to plan for the future in anticipation of the growth of the town.
“Kun mahipno na pohon ang layout sa atong lungsod, ipasa sa SB ang usa ka zoning ordinance,” she said.
