The program of former Gov. Arthur Yap and former Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos is now going to be implemented by the administration of Gov. Aris Aumentado, according to reports.

Before leaving office, Yap and Relampagos managed to craft legislation with the help of the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to provide an additional P25,000 aid to each barangay in Bohol.

This means that in 2022, the total aid given to barangays is P50,000 each.

It is expected that Aumentado will lead the turnover of the cash aid to the barangays in the province.

Based on reports, the Provincial Treasurer’s Office has prepared the checks to be distributed to the barangays representing the cash aid coming from the Provincial Government.

It can be remembered that Yap and Relampagos worked to find funding for additional aid to barangays so these villages can fund projects that will benefit their constituents.
