Catigbian police deploy personnel to ensure security in schools

The Catigbian police station has deployed personnel near schools in the town to ensure safety and security of students and teachers as classes opened on Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, according to a press release from the said police station.

The town’s chief of police, Maj. Rufo Potane, said a number of police personnel were deployed also to ensure police visibility and prevent crimes from happening.

Moreover, Potane said that the police station also established a police assistance desk which is also tasked to disseminate information to students in relation to crime prevention.

The police assistance desk also provided information materials such as flyers and facemasks to the students, the report adds.

Meanwhile, Dr. Danilo Gudelosao of DepEd Bohol said that the opening of classes was successful despite minor problems encountered.

A large number of schools in Bohol is already given the go-signal to conduct face-to-face classes five days in a week, he added.
