BPPO says kidnapping reports are untrue

The Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) revealed that the alleged kidnappings in the province are untrue.

This is in reaction to reports alleging that a van is being used to kidnap minors.

In a report, Lt. Col. Norman Nuez of the BPPO said that the reports of kidnapping that spread on social media are untrue.

There are some netizens sharing posts about kidnapping incidents that are allegedly happening in Bohol.

At least two posts claim that kidnappings happened in Ubay and in Calape towns.

Nuez said the police did not receive any report of kidnappings in any area of Bohol.

As this developed, Nuez urged the public to report crimes directly to the police instead of posting these on social media, so that the authorities can investigate and solve the alleged crime.
