Trinidad town celebrates 75th year founding anniversary

All roads lead to Trinidad town on Sept. 1, 2022. On that day, the town in the northern part of Bohol will be celebrating its 75th year founding anniversary.

The town is ably led by its mayor Roberto Cajes, which continues the legacy of his wife the town’s former mayor, Judith Cajes.

Just recently, the town received an accolade, recognizing the efforts of the Local Government Unit (LGU) in collection efficiency.

According to the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF), Trinidad is ranked 6 among all the municipalities in the Philippines based on the 2021 Collection Efficacy of Locally Sourced Revenues.

The Municipal Government through the Treasurer’s Office and the Assessor’s Office more than doubled the target collection from P 46.17 million to P131.54 million.

The LGU aims to continuously sustain its revenue generation efforts towards better local governance and efficient public service.

In 75 years, Trinidad has valued education among its youth.

This is the reason that the Cajes administration has backed the growth and development of the Trinidad Municipal College (TMC).

Today, the TMC has become a bastion of quality education not only in Bohol, but in the entire Visayas as well.

These are just some of the achievements of Trinidad town in the last 75 years and no doubt, with the dynamic leadership of Mayor Cajes and the cooperation of the people of the town, progress and development will definitely come to this great municipality.
