4 Bohol PNP stations host digitized clearance system

The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bohol implements the National Police Clearance System (NPCS), which is an integrated digitized crime clearance system which is part of the long-term police transformation program that seeks to modernize the country’s PNP.

About 4 police stations in Bohol have installed the equipment in order to access the NCPS, the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) reports.

The new set up is a part of the mandate of former President Rodrigo Duterte to fast track release of documents and hasten government processes, according to Bohol Provincial Police Operations Officer Lt. Col. Norman Nuez.

Unlike the old police clearance which is based on the data of the local police station, the
NPCS uses an integrated nationwide databank based in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

This provides a more comprehensive background information about the person who applies for a police clearance, the PIA said.

Those who wish to get a police clearance may start the application process online and set an appointment to proceed with the application at any of the 4 police stations in Bohol connected to the NPCS.

The stations connected to the NPCS are Tagbilaran, Tubigon, Talibon and Jagna, the report adds.
