Guv plans to convert CPG PARK showcase center into snack bar

Gov. Aris Aumentado said that he is looking at converting the showcase center located at the foot of the CPG Park near the New Capitol into a snack bar, according to a report by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) on Aug. 29, 2022.

The governor said he is not keen on using the area as a Bagsakan Center, the report adds.

Aumentado said that the structure would be converted into an area where snack items will be sold to park visitors or students who are in the park to study.

He is also looking at a wi-fi connection installed in the area for students who wish to spend time at the park to study their lessons.

Moreover, Aumentado categorically said he would never allow the unused structure to be used as a Bagsakan Center or to sell unprocessed food products.

The structure was designed to sell packaged or processed food products from various farmer associations in the province, thus called a showcase center.
