From January to August 2022, Bohol authorities bare that they seize an average of P71,404.35 worth of drugs daily, according to a report from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) released on Aug. 30, 2022.
This information was released during the recent Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) meeting held at Camp Dagohoy on Aug. 23, 2022.
The authorities added that they confiscated around 2,478.29 grams of the illegal drug known as shabu.
Overall, the total value of seized illegal drugs reached P16.8 million, according to data presented during the PPOC meeting.
Authorities have been intensifying their efforts to curb the drug trade in the province, focusing on both supply and demand reduction.
