<strong>Police seize firearms, alleged illegal drugs, in Tagb raid</strong>

Police seized alleged illegal drugs and firearms following a raid in Tagbilaran City on Aug. 30, 2022, according to a report released on Sept. 1, 2022.

The report said that the raid was conducted by elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB), and Tagbilaran City Police Station among others at Espuelas Extension.

The report indicated that the police arrested the suspect identified as Efren Castro of Espuelas Extension, Tagbilaran City.

The police were armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Leo Lison for alleged violation of Republic Act 10591 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

The authorities were able to confiscate a .38 caliber revolver, 3 rounds of live ammunition, 2 small sachets containing suspected shabu and alleged drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was brought to the Tagbilaran City Police Station as appropriate charges will be filed by the authorities against Castro soon.
