Aboitiz group wants to manage Bohol Panglao Int’l Airport

After capturing the contract to manage the operations and maintenance (O&M) of Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA), Aboitiz Infra Capital (AIC) is seeking to bag contracts to manage other airports in the country including the Bohol Panglao International Airport (BPIA).

Reports say that the AIC continue to discuss its unsolicited proposals to authorities in a hope to get the management contracts for various airports in the country.

The company is waiting for the go signal from the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) regarding its proposal.

The company, aside from the BPIA, looks at managing the Laguindingan Airport in Misamis Oriental.

All unsolicited proposals are being evaluated by the NEDA, reports say.

Recently, the Department of Transportation has opened the possibility of letting the private sector manage certain airports in the country.
