Aboitiz group wants to manage Bohol Panglao Int’l Airport

Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC) is seeking to bag contracts to manage and operate other airports in the country including the Bohol Panglao International Airport (BPIA), according to reports.

Reports say that the AIC continue to discuss its unsolicited proposals to authorities in a hope to get the management contracts for various airports in the country.

The company is waiting for the go signal coming from the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) regarding its proposal to manage and operate the BPIA and another airport in Mindanao.

The company, aside from the BPIA, looks at managing the Laguindingan Airport in Misamis Oriental.

All unsolicited proposals are being evaluated by the NEDA, reports say.

Recently, the Department of Transportation has opened the possibility of letting the private sector manage certain airports in the country.
