Dental Crowns (Part 2)

Allow me to discuss this week the reasons to have a dental crown.

A dental crown is needed in various scenarios.

The idea is to place a certain kind of protection over your decayed tooth which will restore your smile and make it beautiful again.

The dental crown can even enhance the tooth’s strength and provide a better performance to the decayed tooth. It is possible to have it over the broken or missing tooth.

The crown is useful when the tooth is cracked and worn out.

The damaged tooth may reveal large cavities that can’t be filled with dental filling any longer, thus the need for a crown.

A patient with a dental implant inserted in the jaw may need to cover it with a crown.

One can restore discolored teeth or improve the beauty of the teeth via crowns.

If there are missing teeth, a bridge with twin crowns can help if needed.

A person who underwent a root canal treatment may also need to have a dental crown to protect the dead tooth.

A tooth damaged by poor hygiene may need to get a dental crown.

Next week we will be discussing the benefits of getting dental crowns.
