DCES CLASS ‘77 HOLDS 45th GRAND REUNION

They rekindled the friendships; they came back to meet their former classmates, teachers and competitors;

they lit the torch to create the atmosphere of the celebration; they got their group welded for a grand reunion; they rolled back the years and appeared young and really young; they did all these for a memorable event – the 45th Grand Reunion of DAUIS CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (DCES) CLASS ’77!
With the theme, “Roll Back the Years & Be Young”, the members of DCES Class ’77 gathered at 8:30 in the morning of August 17, 2022 for a Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Guivencan at the church of Our Lady of the Assumption Shrine in Poblacion, Dauis, Bohol.


This was followed by a motorcade along the streets of the Poblacion going to their Alma Mater, Dauis Central Elementary School. Highlighting the event in the morning was a short but lively program capped by the class donation of three (3) units of wall fans as the class’ token of appreciation for the things the school has shared with the students. Lunch was served at the Sea Corals in Doljo, Panglao courtesy of Luisa “Lotie” Humol – Karkanain, one of the members of Class ’77. Again, another short luncheon program with games was held with cash prizes distributed to deserving winners and participants.


The Fellowship Night was A Beautiful Affair to Remember! It started at 6:30 in the evening of the same day at the Metro Centre Hotel where the popular Arthur Ungab was the entertainer with dance instructors giving beautiful dance energizers as an after party lure.

Majority of the numbers during the program were performed by the members of Class ’77. Victor Cimeni led the invocation; Ipoie Bullecer delivered the welcome address; Blessie Penales-Diezon introduced the Guest Speaker, Ms. Cecilia Araneta Burns (a retired member of the faculty of Dauis Central Elementary School); Hermie Omila said the Grace Before Meals; and Luisa Humol-Karkanain shared her success story with the audience.

This is not to mention the committee who took charge of the raffle/draw for the prizes and prizes and prizes.
The audience and the members of Class DCES ’77 were glued to their seats with excitement, joy, fun, and thrill in the duration of the selection of the DCES King & Queen 2022. It was done with precision and professionalism.


Blesila Penales-Diezon was proclaimed and crowned QUEEN while Nelson Dolojol was proclaimed and crowned KING!
The mentors had their moment of recognition, too, as they were each called upstage to receive gestures of gratitude from Class ’77.

They were: Mrs. Cecilia Araneta-Burns, Mrs. Rosario Bolotaolo-Celedio & Mrs.Eliodoran Cimafranca-Loquellano. They also composed the board of judges for the DCES Class ‘77 King & Queen Competition.
The one-day reunion was spearheaded by the Adhoc committee Leaders: Ipoie Loquellano-Bullecer & Gloria Leodivica I. Araneta.

Other members of the committee were Blesila Penales Diezon (finance officer); Hermosilia Omela (secretary); and Luisa Humol-Karkanain, Lucy Semaña-Gamas, Victor Cimeni & Michael Ebojo.
The event was ably assisted by “SMILE”, Philippines with Gloria Leodivica I. Araneta emceeing all the proceedings.
