Veteran broadcaster Teofredo “Fred” Araneta

Veteran broadcaster Teofredo “Fred” Araneta who is one of the most iconic voices in the Bohol radio industry, died early morning of Sept. 12, 2022, his family confirms.

He was 74.

Araneta was a fixture in Bohol radio broadcasting as he started his career way back in the 1960s and has remained active until his demise.

He used to be the president of the Bohol Tri-Media Association.

As this developed, key figures in Boholano leadership paid tribute to Araneta.

In his Facebook post, Gov.  Aris Aumentado expressed his condolences to the friends and family of Araneta.

On the other hand, Cong. Edgar Chatto also extended his condolences to the relative and friends of the veteran broadcaster.

Moreover, Tagbilaran City mayor Jane Yap expressed her appreciation to what Araneta contributed to the local broadcast scene.
