Aris: Centcom plans to move camp from Cebu to Bohol

Gov. Aris Aumentado revealed that he received the plans of the Central Command (Centcom) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to move the latter’s camp from Cebu to Bohol.

In a post, the governor said he met with representatives of the AFP who informed the governor about the plan.

Reportedly, the AFP is seeking an area of 40 hectares in the province where the planned camp will be located.

Moreover, Bohol is among the places in the Visayas considered as host for the new military camp.

The governor suggested to consider areas in Ubay town. The town has plenty of vacant areas and near an existing airport.

Currently, the Centcom camp is located in Lahug, Cebu City.
