Face mask wearing now optional in Bohol says Aris

Gov. Aris Aumentado bared that face mask wearing in outdoor settings is optional, based on Executive Order No. 3 of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

It was reported that the mask mandate remains in effect as well as other minimum health and safety standards such as social distancing and hand washing.

Aumentado said that Boholanos have the option whether or not to wear face masks outdoors starting Sept. 12, 2022.

4However, the governor asks those who have symptoms of Coronavirus disease such as coughs or colds to continue wearing face masks even outdoors.

“Muhangyo gihapon ko sa mga adunay gipangbati sama sa ubo, sip-on ug hilanat nga magpadayon lang gihapon sa pagsul-ob sa face mask,” the governor said in his post.

According to Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles mask wearing even outdoors is still strongly encouraged among senior citizens, immunocompromised, and those who not fully vaccinated.

The mask mandate remains in effect inside public transport or in settings where physical or social distancing is not feasible.
