Solar power farm project to launch on Sept. 27

A solar power farm project is set to be launched in barangay San Vicente, Dagohoy town on Sept. 27, 2022, according to reports.

The future solar power farm intends to provide renewable energy to Bohol and even to the national power grid.

The future solar power farm has a projected capacity of producing 27 megawatts, reports say.

The Dagohoy Solar Power Project (DSPP) is backed by Petrogreen Energy Corporation (PDEC), which is under the publicly listed Yuchengco Group of Companies (YGC) and PetroEnergy Resources Corporation (PERC), according to its website.

Key officials including Mayor Hermie Relampagos are expected to grace the launching of the solar power farm.

If this project gets completed, it will provide additional power to Bohol which is currently dependent on power coming from geothermal plants located outside Bohol.
