DSWD temporarily suspends distribution of cash aid to 4Ps beneficiaries in CV

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) reportedly suspended the distribution of cash assistance to the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Central Visayas.

This Is according to reports on Sept. 27, 2022 saying that the distribution of cash aid to more than 60,000 beneficiaries across Central Visayas was temporarily suspended as some of them have been detected to be no longer in need of assistance from the government.

There are around 10,677 beneficiaries under the said program based in Bohol, the reports say.

In order to ensure that only those who are in need will get support under the 4Ps program, DSWD is conducting validation that will last until Sept. 30, 2022.

The validation will determine whether or not those included in the DSWD beneficiary list are indeed qualified to be given cash aid under the program.
