<strong>Polish envoy visits Tagbilaran, plans to expand ties with city</strong>

The Ambassador of Poland to the Philippines visited Tagbilaran City and paid a courtesy call to City Mayor Jane Yap on Sept. 27, 2022.

Reports say that Ambassador Jaroslaw Szczepankiewicz was with Aleksander Parzych, Polish consul and Bartosz Wozniczkoz, Polish vice consul during the visit to Mayor Yap’s office.

In a post, Mayor Yap said the Polish diplomats are looking to expand ties and cooperation with Tagbilaran in the areas of investment, scholarship, tourism, search & rescue and livelihood.

The mayor added that the Polish embassy is looking at establishing a sub-office in Tagbilaran City.

In another development, the diplomats also met with Panglao mayor Edgardo Arcay and Gov. Aris Aumentado in separate occasions to let them know the plans of the Polish government to expand ties with Bohol, according to reports.
