The local government unit of Balilihan bagged 2 awards within a week, according to Mayor Pureza Veloso-Chatto.
In a post, Chatto said the town won the award for being the best municipal nutrition council in Bohol and for this, the LGU received a plaque and a cash prize of P100,000 from the Provincial Government of Bohol.
Moreover, the LGU also won the award as the 1st town to achieve zero open defecation in all of its barangays, the mayor said.
The two citations come at the heels of an earlier achievement where Balilihan received the Green Banner Seal of Compliance in Region 7 for being one of the best municipal nutrition councils in Bohol.
