Boheco 1 debunks information regarding its power rates

Bohol Electric Cooperative 1 (Boheco 1) issued a statement debunking the information circulating on social media about its power rates.

The electric cooperative reacted to the report posted by a radio station, dyRI based in Iloilo City, that Boheco 1 allegedly charges P19.55 per kilowatt hour to consumers located within its franchise area.

In a statement posted on its social media account, Boheco 1 said that based on the September 2022 billing, it charged its consumers P17.2086 per kilowatt hour.

The distribution utilities in Bohol have yet to post the power rates for October as they await the charges coming from their respective power suppliers, according to reports.

On the other hand, Boheco 2 charged its consumers P13.87 per kilowatt hour in September 2022.

Moreover, Bohol Light Company Inc. billed its residential customers P14.72 per kilowatt hour while commercial clients were charged P 14.47 per kilowatt hour last month.
