Bohol’s Dalareich Polot bags int’l award

Bohol’s Dalareich Polot is the first Filipina to receive the prestigious Goldman Sachs/Fortune Most Powerful Women Global Award, according to reports.

Reports say that Polot, known as Bohol’s Chocolate Princess, is the inspiring social entrepreneur behind Dalareich Chocolate House.

Her efforts are empowering cacao farmers in Bohol and other parts of the Philippines.

Polot, 34, gained international recognitions over the past years for the commendable things that she has been doing for the local cacao industry.

The awarding rites will be held in Laguna Niguel, California, at the Ritz-Carlton on October 11, 2022, the report adds.

Aside from Polot, another awardee from Egypt, Hend Osama, will be feted during the awards ceremony.

Polot, a native of barangay Booy in Tagbilaran City, is being awarded for her proposed project centering on the livelihood recovery through cacao rehabilitation and production among women farmers.

Polot is the co-founder of Dalareich Chocolate Factory, which produces chocolate products for local and export markets.

She learned how to make chocolates after she went to Belgium to learn the process of chocolate making.
