“Black Adam” at Screenville Cinemas

        Hollywood muscleman Dwayne Johnson stars as DC Comics antihero in the film adaptation of the same name, “Black Adam”, now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.  

        A slave in Kahndaq 5,000 years ago, Black Adam is a ruthless keeper of justice, a judge, a jury, and an executioner. He believes in an eye for an eye and he will always do everything he can to protect and liberate his people, delivering his own brand of justice. He was granted the powers of the Gods and was originally referred to as Mighty Adam.

After a thousand years of imprisonment, Black Adam is unleashed into modern times. His brute tactics and way of justice attract the attention of the Justice Society of America, who tries to stop his rampage, teach him how to be a hero more than a villain, and must team up to stop a force more powerful than Adam himself.

”BLACK ADAM” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

“The Menu” at Screenville Cinemas

A young couple travels to a remote island and dine in an exclusive restaurant where the chef has prepared a lavish menu with some shocking surprises in the black comedy horror flick, “The Menu”, which will premiere on Wednesday, October 26, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.  

Set in the world of high-end culinary culture, couple Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Tyler (Nicholas Hoult) visit a popular destination restaurant Hawthorn in a coastal island in the Pacific, where the acclaimed celebrity chef Julian Slowik (Ralph Fiennes) has cooked a lavish tasting menu for special guests. But his approach to cuisine has some shocking surprises for everyone. Hosted by the front house staff led by Elsa (Hong Chau), the evening unfolds with increasing tension at each of the guest tables as secrets are revealed and unexpected courses are served. With wild and violent events occurring, Slowik’s motivation begins to rattle the diners as it becomes increasingly apparent that his elaborate menu is designed to catalyze to a shocking finale.

“THE MENU” will premiere on Wednesday, October 26, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
